Information Security

IT security and best practice advice for handling sensitive information

Information security involves a number of different measures to ensure an organisation’s sensitive data and information is protected – developing a secure IT infrastructure is fundamental to this. However, there is also a human element to consider in IT security. Employees themselves can unknowingly pose challenges to security measures through the careless handling of items such as passwords, devices and documents.

By delivering the ‘Information Security’ e-learning tutorial to your employees, you can increase their awareness of security risk and the steps they can take to prevent a breach. With practical examples from everyday life, your employees will learn how to act compliantly both at work and in public, as well as how to send information safely when using electronic devices. Additionally, employees will learn how information can be compromised even in a seemingly ‘safe’ environment – ever heard of ‘social engineering’?

Update 2021: Fit for Cybercrime & Co.

With our update “Fit for Cybercrime & Co.”  this training program now addresses the current cyber-security threats.

The new lesson „Cybercrime” is 13 minutes long and informs the learners about the biggest threats concerning Internet Criminality for companies – From ransomware through identity theft to DDoS attacks. A targeted introduction makes the dangers clear and helps the learner dive into the topic.

A second new lesson ‘’IT Security when working from home’’ is dedicated to Home Office, as it has become much more popular and common during the pandemic. In around 10 minutes, you can school your employees on what to pay attention to when working from home, and how to use the appropriate services and tools for exchanging data as well as communicating.

Our third 11 minute lesson „Intellectual Property and Trade Secrets” on the topic of intellectual property and its protection options also addresses the Trade Secret Protection Act.

Additionally, we have updated the lesson “My Password”, considering new knowledge on the topic as well as the themes Two Factor Authentication and Password manager.
